Context

WILD applied the Integrated Local Delivery (ILD) approach within the Upper Thames catchment (Cotswolds, South West England), triggered by the requirement to improve the ecological status of watercourses under the EU Water Framework Directive (WFD). The project used a multi-stakeholder, bottom-up partnership model to plan and implement direct actions and embed local delivery for long-term water quality and biodiversity outcomes.
