Designing a care-full engagement process: Case Clinic (‘I see, I sense, I feel’)
We now move on to introduce 'Case Clinic'.
Here is a long explanation from the Presencing Institute (the home of Theory U), and below a lighter/quicker version that Dr Angela Moriggi used in a recent workshop.

Case-giving (5 minutes): case giver introduces their question to the rest of the group (the coaches)
What key challenge or question are you up against? How might others view this situation? What future are you trying to create? What do you need to let go of - and what do you need to learn? Where to you need input or help?
Coaches listen deeply
Clarifying questions (3-5 minutes)
Coaches ask clarifying questions (don't give advice) and get quick responses from the care-giver
Stillness (1 minute)
Listen to your heart: connect with your heart to what you're hearing. Listen to what resonates: what images metaphors, feelings and gestures come up for you that capture the essence of what you heard?
Mirroring (5 minutes): 'I see... I sense... I feel...'
Each coach in the group (1 minute per coach) shares briefly the images/metaphors, feelings and gestures that came up in the silence or while listening to the case story, saying 'I see... I sense... I feel...'
The case giver reflects back on the thoughts shared (1 minute)
Generative dialogue (12 minutes)
Move into a generative dialogue on how these observations can offer new perspectives on the case. Go with the flow of the dialogue. Build on each other's ideas ('and...and'). Stay in service of the case giver without pressure to fix or resolve their challenge
Closing remarks (5 minutes): Share concluding thoughts before coming back to plenary
By case giver (1 minute): How do I now see my situation and way forward?
Acknowledgement (1 minute per person): An expression of genuine appreciation to each other.
