Please now allow yourself some time to record your main takeaways from Unit 3. By way of reminder, takeaways may include: key concepts and theories that you have found useful; inspiring thoughts shared by some of the contributors you have met online (either the guest video contributors, or those of other enrolled course participants); or additional personal reflections that you have felt minded to note down along the way (etc).

This journaling exercise can be done autonomously in the way that fits you best: either by noting down a few keywords, by creating a mind maps, via sketches, drawings, or simple prototyping, or through a combination of all these forms of expression. You can decide to do it digitally or in hard copy.

For a fuller recap, including more generic prompting self-reflection questions and some illustrative examples, see here for the full guidelines for the Learning Journal included at the end of Unit 2.

It may help you to begin by reflecting further on the list of principles and definitions drawn from the literature which we featured at the start of Lesson 5 above.

Or you might prefer to begin simply by reflecting on, from the guest contributors to this Unit, whose depiction of care-full scholarship resonates with you the most and why?
