Biography

Dr Angela Moriggi is a social scientist working for transdisciplinary sustainability projects since 2013, with a PhD in Rural Sociology from Wageningen University (NE). She’s currently Marie Curie Individual Research Fellow at the Dept. of Land, Environment, Agriculture & Forestry of the University of Padova, with her project VERVE (Co-creative Visioning procEsses for tRansformative social innoVation in rural arEas).

The red thread in Angela’s work is the design, use, and evaluation of participatory and creative methods and of facilitation approaches - to the aim of enabling social innovation, social change, and transformative learning processes. Care ethics and feminist thinking inform her practice deeply. She’s tried to combine these passions and competences in the design of the Care-full scholarship MOOC.

Recent projects she co-created include: Re.imaginary, a database of arts-based methods for regenerative sustainability; Once Upon the Future, an anthology of children's stories on place-based transformations; the Green4C Summer Schoolfor prospective Green Care practitioners; the video Nature as Pathway about action-research with social innovators.
