Biography

Gloria holds a doctorate from the Centre for Agroecology Water and Resilience (CAWR) at Coventry University, UK. She holds a Research Master’s from Utrecht University, Netherlands, in Sustainable Development—Environmental Governance, and a degree in Politics, Philosophy and Economics from LUISS University, Rome, Italy. She is particularly interested in exploring the personal, political and power dimensions of social-ecologically just sustainability transformations—what triggers processes of transformation of individual and collective values, beliefs and paradigms, both in everyday practices, and at the institutional level. For her PhD, she worked at the interface between communities, government and public and third sectors organisations, to understand how a feminist and democratic ethics of care can contribute to the development of meaningful and inclusive collaborative practices for the sustainable management of the natural resources in Wales.
