Lesson 2
Snapshots of your Journey
- Get yourself a large piece of paper, or set up a virtual platform or canvas + get colours and/or post-its;
- Alternatively use our downloadable templates in the files tab at the top of this lesson page;
- Make sure the paper has a ‘starting point’ at the beginning, and a ‘now’ point at the end;
- Divide the paper or canvas into the various parts you see in the picture and text below;
- Decide what you want to reflect on: it could be a course, a project, or even this MOOC, or some specific parts of it (e.g. the Community of Practice and how you experienced it thus far);
- Follow the guiding questions given below and answer them either on post-its or with free notes;
- If you want, share your canvas/paper image on the MOOC common platform, or the thoughts you have harvested using a different tool.

Landmarks: what significant things happened over the learning journey?
Destinations: what were your aspirations and aims at that time?
Pathways: what tangibles had you put in place to build your learning pathway/profession/project at that time?
Roadblocks: what challenges did you face around those snapshot moments?
Feelings: how did the events in the snapshot make you feel?
Notes: Look up at the responses you gave to each section. What have you learnt?
